Framing Float
Float framing: I love to mount and float photos, often overlapping with slightly higher lifts. These are drymounted onto black or white core (or colored) mat board and trimmed in the cropping on a bevel to show the mat core. This nicely cleans up the edges. I use other embellishments (French lines etc) to finalize the design on the mat, even carving into it for effect. Sure beats multiple openings and that rigidity.
